Here at Rethink, there are a few things we find ourselves saying over and over. And one of them is, “Start with your audience.”
By that we mean focusing on their needs, wants, motivations, and baseline understanding of the material. But we also mean starting with one of the most basic facts about your employees: What do they do in their jobs? What do they really need to know to succeed professionally and to be the first line of defense against compliance risks?
The Department of Justice’s most recent guidance takes a similar view of compliance training: It should be targeted, not scattershot, so that the right amount of training is served to the right employees.
That’s where role-based training comes in. Your employees encounter different situations and risks at work, and they need training that reflects the day-to-day realities of their job. By focusing your training on the guidance and examples most relevant to them, you can help them better understand how the rules apply to them, making a bigger impact with the same seat time.
So we created a series of six roles-based training courses to help our clients target their employees with compliance training that speaks to them. Each one clearly lays out expectations for employees in particular departments and answers the question that learners are too often left asking: “What does this have to do with me and my job?”
Each course covers 10 to 20 minutes of material and, like all of Rethink’s courses, can be customized to fit clients’ specific needs through our unique tailoring process. These courses are a complement to the adaptive learning options we also offer.
Roles-based courses for the following areas are now available in our library:
- Engineering and operations
- Human resources
- Sourcing and global supply chain
